With Pluto in the 5th house there may be a powerful need for recognition and praise. Love affairs and consuming attractions with potential lovers are common. In its most negative form, you may become obsessed with a lover, be possessive and jealous. Pluto in 5th house is popularly known amongst astrologers as the “fatal attraction” placement and there may be a secret and hidden affair. The partners you attract may embody the symbol of Pluto, and they are passionate, powerful, jealous, domineering and emotionally turbulent. You may fall in love deeply and see each affair as some kind of fate or binding bond. There can also be a hidden need for love, flattery and attention and if rejected you may be filled with resentment and hatred. Often this contact can be over-protective of loved ones and children, sharing a deep and loving bond with them, in some cases there is over-possessiveness and smothering. However, the birth of a child can completely transform your life. Perhaps your children undergo a crisis of some kind that changes you both, or their personality is strongly Plutonian. Astrologer Sue Tompkins says:
A deep desire to have children can be indicated with this placement, which can also sometimes be indicative of miscarriages and abortions if other factors in the chart concur. Occasionally it equates with putting a child up for adoption.I have Venus in the 5th house and it squares Pluto. My child is Plutonian. He has Sun rising conjunct Mercury and square Pluto (exact) which conjuncts his I.C (exact) and aspects all his angles. I discussed in a previous post how his school teachers referred to him as an invisible (Pluto) child. Pluto can represent unalterable circumstances and a no-going-back quality, like a partner getting a vasectomy so he can NEVER have children.
Actress, Audrey Hepburn, had Pluto in Cancer in the 5th house, she had given birth to two sons, and had 5 miscarriages in total. Hepburn’s father abandoned the family when they were young, and she referred to his leaving as the most traumatic moment of her life. However, she later found him and stayed in contact and supported him financially. In her younger years she has also secretly (Pluto) danced (5th) to collect money for the Dutch resistance and she said that the best audience she ever had made not a single sound at the end of her performance. Perhaps Pluto’s silence and invisibility, and ability to leave an emotional impact on their audience was enacted here. Audrey also passed her time away by drawing and her artwork can be still seen today.
Hepburn decided to devote more time to her family and acted only occasionally. After her divorce from Ferrer, she married Italian psychiatrist Dr. Andrea Dotti and had a second son, after a difficult pregnancy that required near-total bed restThere were rumours of affairs in the marriage and it has been said that when she was with her new romantic lover she was a completely different woman and that she transformed. Yet, during her marriage with Dotti, he had affairs with younger women and she stayed with him until the children were old enough to cope and then divorced him. Hepburn said that she overcomes her feeling of ugliness and self-hatred by adopting a forceful, concentrated drive. Hepburn is also famous (5th) for the “little black Dress” the colour of Pluto.
Ferrer was rumoured to be too controlling of Hepburn and had been referred to by others as being her Svengali--an accusation that Hepburn laughed off. William Holden was quoted as saying, "I think Audrey allows Mel to think he influences her.
Hepburn was much more careful when she was pregnant with Luca in 1969; she rested for months and passed the time by painting before delivering Luca by caesarean section

| Transforming the lives of dying children |
In Hepburn’s later years it was said that the thought of helpless, dying children (5th) consumed (Pluto) most of her life. Audrey was a transformative force in the lives of children close to death. Apparently all the children would be magnetically attracted to Hepburn and follow her.
Often the kids would have flies all over them, but she would just go hug them. I had never seen that. Other people had a certain amount of hesitation, but she would just grab them. Children would just come up to hold her hand, touch her – she was like the Pied Piper. By Wiki
By Jeff Green on Pluto in 5th house
They can act as natural leaders and pioneers, and objectively understand how to guide individual development and actualization of those they touch. The other day I was watching several children play. They were all four and five year olds. At one point an eighteen month old baby wandered by these children. This little girl had a tremendously powerful aura. All the four and five year old children stopped what they were doing and began to follow her. Mesmerized they simply fell in line with this child. After watching this scene I asked the mother for her birth data. As it turned out, the little one had Pluto conjunct Saturn in the 5th house. This intrinsic leadership capacity created an almost Pied-Piper - like effect upon the four and five year olds even though she was only eighteen months old. There is often a burning desire within to create and sexuality can be intense. A powerful sense of self-importance or even hiding your creativity and sense of specialness. Sometimes art is created in reaction to trauma, conflict and upheaval and it can also be used as a healing tool, towards renewed self-transformation.
| Jealous Guy |
In one of his last major interviews Lennon said that until he met Ono, he had never questioned his chauvinistic attitude to women. The Beatles' song "Getting Better", he said, told his own story: "All that 'I used to be cruel to my woman, I beat her and kept her apart from the things that she loved' was me. I used to be cruel to my woman, and physically—any woman. I was a hitter. I couldn't express myself and I hit. I fought men and I hit women. That is why I am always on about peace".Lennon was distant from Julian, his first son, born as his commitments with the Beatles intensified at the height of Beatle mania during his marriage to Cynthia. Adopting the role of house husband in his relationship with Ono, he became close to their son Sean. As a youngster John Lennon always stated that one day he would be famous, although his sister was sceptical. John possessed many creative gifts, from singing, writing, poetry and art. He was accepted into Art College but was threatened with expulsion for his disruptive nature and sitting on the nude model’s lap in a drawing class.
Lennon later had a relationship with Mary Pang, and she encouraged him to have regular visits with Julian and re-establish contact with relatives and friends. They were considering a house purchase and he was rejecting Ono’s calls. However, Ono called saying she had found a cure for smoking, and he went to visit her, and never returned. It has been claimed that Ono controlled the relationship.
When Lennon and Ono were reunited, she became pregnant, but having previously suffered three miscarriages in her attempt to have a child with Lennon, she said she wanted an abortion. She agreed to allow the pregnancy to continue on condition that Lennon adopts the role of househusband; this he agreed to do. Sean was born on 9 October 1975, Lennon's 35th birthday, delivered by Caesarean section.
Lennon's subsequent career break would span five years. He became utterly devoted to his son. He had a photographer take pictures of Sean every day of his first year, and created numerous drawings for him, posthumously published as Real Love: The Drawings for Sean. Lennon later proudly declared, "He didn't come out of my belly but, by God, I made his bones, because I've attended to every meal, and to how he sleeps, and to the fact that he swims like a fish.
