Aries

Aries like the other Fire signs, is driven to realize their own individuality. The sign symbolizes a need to look to the future and move forward into life. Being the first sign of spring, the symbol of new life. Aries is associated with the awakening energy which follows the hibernation of winter. Aries is about new growth and burgeoning life force, and represents the power of the ego emerging. People born under this sign are learning to assert their identity effectively and confidently. Aries will to do battle with anything standing in their way and they will often pit themselves against authority. An individual with the Sun in Aries will often fight in order to test their strength and potency, and they will often choose to reject the wealth of experience and advice from their elders.

The leadership qualities are considerable, and there is the need to be the instigator of action, along with a pioneering spirit and an apparent self confidence. The rush of energy which propels Aries in their quest for leadership is impulsive and leaves little room for diplomacy. Commonly, these types do not respond well to routine and repetition, and once a task has been completed and mastered, there is an inbuilt need to move onto the next one. Conversely, some may often find it hard to express the dynamic energy of this sign, and it may reflect an early childhood where confidence has been undermined, leading to fearful self expression and doubts about their own potency and will. Arien’s forceful nature cannot tolerate endless suppression and sooner or later their repressed energy will surface through an explosive temper, or depression which masks inner rage.

Aries represents a search for self through all activity that reaffirms their existence as an individual set apart from others. The desire to be first and best is natural, and they will often be found fighting for their own space and they won’t take kindly to anyone who is too clingy and possessive. Aries likes to conquer and they can be powerfully romantic, although selfish and demanding. Aries is fiercely protective towards their nearest and dearest and exhibit strong feelings towards lovers.

When Aries is too impatient and impulsive they often act without thinking. This can occasionally result in regrettable situations, due to premature actions. The sign is enthusiastic and courageous, and they can be very direct and straight forward. Aries experiences and understands the world from a totally subjective position and judges all that is presented entirely from a personal perspective. The individual is decisive and they often motivate other people into taking action. Aries can feel wounded when others behave dishonorably towards them. Disloyalty, backstabbing, and revenge are not part of their value system. Aries in essence is warm hearted and positive about life, and they often need to be left alone to their own thing.
