Follow the 5 minor transits of Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars

I have started a diary for the month to keep track of the minor transits in my natal chart. I haven't been paying much attention to the minor transits in the chart. The reason I haven't is because I never really put high significance on such minor events in daily life. However, I started the diary yesterday and already it has freaked me out. It's actually quite fun to do and the outcomes are quickly known. Usually for outer transits it takes a long time for the whole event to happen and for the whole experience to really sink in and comprehend. The minor events may involve someone paying you a compliment, buying something nice, or you could exchange sharp words with someone on that day. These events are not life changing, but they activate our natal chart on a daily basis. You can see how your moods are affected by the transits daily. What days do you feel good? Perhaps you had a argument or falling out with someone on a particular day, indicated by the transit. I haven't researched this topic enough to see how the minor transits are timers for the major events. This will be something I will study and see how it all works. I am only two days into my transit diary, but yesterday when the transiting Sun was conjunct my natal Saturn in the 1st house, I lacked confidence and felt depressed that morning. However, transiting Venus in Libra in my 2nd house squared my natal Venus in Capricorn and I bought some nice clothes that day and it lifted my mood. I have a natal Sun-Saturn opposition and it can mean a lack of confidence and not feeling "good enough". Venus in its own sign and house, rules beauty, love, attractiveness and self worth. The 2nd house is spending money and the things that we value. Venus through that house and square my natal Venus triggered my self-indulgence,  and highlighted self-worth. So I treated myself to a mini shopping spree. I only bought a couple of items and it lifted my mood. Perhaps it was in compensation for feeling a lack of confidence that same day, but it is interesting seeing how the two different contacts were activated at the same time.

I noticed today that transiting Sun and Mercury was conjunct Saturn in Virgo. I posted a link by Cafe astrology on the minor transits on my face book page and quickly read what it said for Sun-Saturn and it basically interpreted the transit as indicating interaction with older people. I read this in the morning and went off to do the housework. I was in all that day and there wasn't going to be much interaction. However, my next door neighbour an elderly gentleman, and one that I hadn't had a conversation with since he moved into the house, was up the ladder fixing the guttering and called me over to chat and told me he has now fixed the problem. It hadn't dawned on me until later that the transit of Sun (male) and Mercury (communication) and Saturn (older) was the meaning of this transit and Virgo likes to fix things. The first few days of my transit study are going well, but sometimes it can get a bit boring if nothing else significant happens. It's hard to imagine every minor event as relevant, but I won't comment until the monthly watch is over. I will see how the rest of the transits unfold, although I notice how much little stuff I do in my day. I hope I have more exciting events to report. It's been interesting observing the trivial stuff and the things I don't pay much attention to, when I really should. If you want to follow your own minor transits just use the current planets widget on the Astrodienst page and for easy reference write down all your planets in numerical order, you start with the lowest degree planet and end with the highest degree planet. You need a little understanding of aspects to follow the events. How to find aspects in the natal chart should help you identify them if you are a beginner. It might be a worthy study that helps you understand the major transits. Starting small is probably the best way to learn.
