Michelle Pfeiffer is an American Actress who has starred in films such as “Batman” and “Scarface”. She was acclaimed for her role in ”What Lies Beneath” a Hitchcock style horror movie, featuring Harrison Ford. The star played Stephanie Zinone in Grease 2, a movie that didn't invite raving reviews. Despite this early failure she persevered and gained the recognition she wanted.
Lets see what lies beneath the stunning exterior and take a look at her chart. Michelle was born a Taurus, a sign focused on maintaining security and stability. The Sun is hidden in the 12th house and lies behind her identity (Asc). The twelfth is one of the most private sectors of the natal chart and she may need to maintain privacy and needs a place to retreat from the demands of the outer world. Psychically sensitive she needs to express her energy in practical and creative ways. Michelle may be unaware of her need for recognition and fame, because psychologically a twelfth house Sun can indicate humility and even poor self-esteem. A movie director having seen Grease 2 refused to audition her for “Scarface”, he overlooked Michelle. However, she eventually got an audition and won the part. The movie was a commercial success.
Natal Venus square Saturn tests her ability to maintain faith in love and sense of self-worth. The limitations and reality of relationships are highly emphasised. Michelle has been “Miss Orange County” and Venus-Saturn needs to define value, worth and beauty. In relationships she may feel inadequate, unacceptable and unlovable. Once she can trust others and they have passed the "love test" she relaxes her guard. The first half of life can show difficulty in love or marital problems. Time and experience contribute towards an enduring and solid relationship. Michelle’s first marriage ended in divorce, however, both of them had an over-investment in their careers and not much time for love, creating a conflict between love (Venus) and duty (Saturn). Astrologically Saturn describes where we need to be self-sufficient and separate, and Venus is how we share ourselves with others.
Michelle didn’t want to wait around for a new relationship to begin a family and went ahead with adoption proceedings without a full time partner. Natally, Mercury (decision making, communication, ideas) is placed in the decisive sign of Aries, in the 11th house of hopes and wishes. Transiting Uranus (rebellion) was moving through Capricorn in the 8th house and squared natal Mercury. Michelle would be thinking contrary to normal thinking and rebellious and likely to disagree with expectations. Uranus in Capricorn in the 8th house upsets ”traditional” forms (Capricorn) of joint partnership and resources (8th), and this whole period can be unsettling, yet progressive and exciting. Both Uranus & Neptune formed a t.square to Michelle's natal Jupiter in Libra in the 5th house.
Jupiter rules the opportunity for growth and expansion and it comes through relationships (Libra) with children (5th), and generosity extended towards them. With natal Mercury in aspect to Jupiter, she does have a tendency to jump in too soon with decisions, even more so when Mercury is placed in the impulsive sign of Aries. Michelle was not waiting around for Mr Right! Mercury in Aries opposed Jupiter in Libra presented the dilemma of doing it alone (Aries) or waiting around for that perfect partner (Libra), over the decision to have children (5th house) and the need to fulfill her hopes and goals (11th).
Michelle has Neptune in the 5th house, and this placement often describes fostering or adopting children out of compassion, longing or sacrifice. In other circumstances children can be taken into foster care, or they are artistically gifted in some way. The adoption occurred in the year of her Jupiter return in the 5th house (children) and this can increase chances for children. Michelle met a man during the adoption proceedings and she married him and got pregnant! Jupiter returning to the natal 5th house cbrought children and romance in abundance. However, it can signify a time when you get "too much" at once.
